A weaved Easter Basket & Card

Its raining again in not so sunny Qld .....what else is there to do but play in your stash...
With Easter just around the corner and a box full of cardboard scraps ...I thought a weaved basket was a great way to get rid of those odd lengths of card. My hint for weaver is to use an odd number to keep your pattern even...
The Ribbons on my project today are both recycled from a chocolate box and bath set I got for Xmas.
On my little 3" x 3" Card Using my Kaszazz, Peek-a-boo Bunny stamp. I have embossed the image with Copper then trimmed the boarder to give it a different look ....be careful to keep your word to use as well !
Hope your all having fun with your rainy day creations

A Spring Time Card - Baby Wipe Technique

A Spring Time Card
Inspired using Baby Wipe tutorial at Split Coast Stampers !
I have used vivid & fluid chalk re-inkers with the baby wipe technique on this project & stamps from the Kaszazz Spring Time Set. One good thing about this technique is the baby wipe stays damp for quite a while , I used Huggies brand baby wipes and I also found that 2 drops of ink works better then one when blending.
Have fun playing !

Bleached Butterfly Cards

Who Knew playing with bleach could actually be fun !
I recently used a heap of my offcuts of bazzill to make a bucket load of bleached butterflies.
Try it at home , depending on the dye in your card stock it will give you different effects, you see here on the pink card it changed to a cream colour and on the orange it changed to a bright white....watch out for the other colours in upcoming posts.
Have a go at bleaching next time you want a new take on old stamps.
I used a folded chux wipe and placed it in a container, I used just enough bleach for the absorbent cloth to absorb. Don't forget to clean your stamps thoroughly after using bleach on them.

Hide N Seek Teddy Cards

Hi Bloggers
I have been having a break from my computer world but not my crafts.
To refresh I have been playing round with some idea's , techniques & patterns ....
So keep watching this space to see what else I have been up to .
With this cards I wanted to try and use acetate.
I also wanted to use a simple layout , then Jazz it up for that someone extra special.
Card 1 :
I have used a Wood Spice A5 Card from 9879 Card Pack Castaway (30 assort)
4448 Jetstream Bazzill
9358 Card Pack A5 Ivory (20)
909LK Stamp Nichole's Bears Large
6245 Ribbon Brown / Cream 1/4" Gingham
09039 Vivid Inkpad Aqua
72010 Ancient Page Inkpad Coal Black
4540 Aquacolor Crayons
FRH-F Aquash Water Brush Fine
To bling this up I have stamped my teddy image on acetate using Ancient page ink & allowed it to dry .... I have then layered it over the already stamped & coloured image & attached with eyelets. I have darkened the edges of my card using Ancient Page Coal Black & Stamped my sentiment in the same. Then I have used up a heap of my bits of ribbons in browns & blues simply by tying them in a knot & using Glossy Accents to glue them to the side of your card ...
Having the acetate over the top makes it seem more dimensional.
Have fun trying this at home :)

Pow - Clear Plastic - Bear Shaker Card

My favourite way to use our clear plastic is in a shaker card....After stamping my image with Ancient Page Ink on spare white card, I coloured with chalks green & pink from the primary chalks set and the brown from the shimmer chalks set. I then cut out the top part of the image to create my window. On A5 black card I have cut a window slightly larger then my image and secured inside the card with super tape. Then Adhere your acetate to the inside back of the bear cut out to seal the front of your card. Next I built an edge around the inside of my window with magic mount, filled this with glitter , then secured a piece of card slightly smaller then my card front to the inside back to hide my work & seal in the glitter. I mounted my get well soon from the mini messages uncut set and decorated with my permaball marker. NOTE: you will see my glitter is sticking to my acetate, this is because I forgot to use my static pillow on the acetate first to stop it from sticking. If you don't have a static pillow you can use a dry nappy wipe to accomplish the same effect, it works nearly as good.
I will have to do a proper turorial on shaker cards they really are very easy to make and quite effective!
