Hide N Seek Teddy Cards

Hi Bloggers
I have been having a break from my computer world but not my crafts.
To refresh I have been playing round with some idea's , techniques & patterns ....
So keep watching this space to see what else I have been up to .
With this cards I wanted to try and use acetate.
I also wanted to use a simple layout , then Jazz it up for that someone extra special.
Card 1 :
I have used a Wood Spice A5 Card from 9879 Card Pack Castaway (30 assort)
4448 Jetstream Bazzill
9358 Card Pack A5 Ivory (20)
909LK Stamp Nichole's Bears Large
6245 Ribbon Brown / Cream 1/4" Gingham
09039 Vivid Inkpad Aqua
72010 Ancient Page Inkpad Coal Black
4540 Aquacolor Crayons
FRH-F Aquash Water Brush Fine
To bling this up I have stamped my teddy image on acetate using Ancient page ink & allowed it to dry .... I have then layered it over the already stamped & coloured image & attached with eyelets. I have darkened the edges of my card using Ancient Page Coal Black & Stamped my sentiment in the same. Then I have used up a heap of my bits of ribbons in browns & blues simply by tying them in a knot & using Glossy Accents to glue them to the side of your card ...
Having the acetate over the top makes it seem more dimensional.
Have fun trying this at home :)

Pow - Clear Plastic - Bear Shaker Card

My favourite way to use our clear plastic is in a shaker card....After stamping my image with Ancient Page Ink on spare white card, I coloured with chalks green & pink from the primary chalks set and the brown from the shimmer chalks set. I then cut out the top part of the image to create my window. On A5 black card I have cut a window slightly larger then my image and secured inside the card with super tape. Then Adhere your acetate to the inside back of the bear cut out to seal the front of your card. Next I built an edge around the inside of my window with magic mount, filled this with glitter , then secured a piece of card slightly smaller then my card front to the inside back to hide my work & seal in the glitter. I mounted my get well soon from the mini messages uncut set and decorated with my permaball marker. NOTE: you will see my glitter is sticking to my acetate, this is because I forgot to use my static pillow on the acetate first to stop it from sticking. If you don't have a static pillow you can use a dry nappy wipe to accomplish the same effect, it works nearly as good.
I will have to do a proper turorial on shaker cards they really are very easy to make and quite effective!

I am back & I bought my bear friend to share his Sprinkles Shaker Card !

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been AWOL but I have found my way back with some new things to share.
These stamps have been discontinued from our range unfortunately but this project could be very easily adapted to the #1856LL Flower Bear Large Stamp & the #314LC Daisy Large Stamp both found on page 143 of the current Catalogue & Project Book.
1. Stamped the images with Ancient Page Coal Black Ink or similar, allow some drying time or heat set.
2. Cut out the inner window from the bear stamp with your craft knife.
3. Colour with Aqua Color Crayons Attach a piece of acetate behind the window
4. Make a rectangle surround from Magic Mount & attached to your acetate - leave the outer tape cover on for now
5. Fill your window , I have used sprinkles to make a cute little kids card ( Goes fabulous with a plate of fairy bread). In the kitchen cupboard alone I found a heap of other things to use not to mention around the house.
WARNING DON"T OVER FILL IT"S MEANT TO SHAKE
6. Attach a large piece of card that covers the entire inside cover - the magic mount will stick in the centre and I used super tape to secure the edges.
I will do a tutorial later for a shaker card with some of my new bear stamps......

Chalked Pink Dotty Bear Card { POW Project 2 }

Hi,
I like the way this bear turned out, I got a bit of a surprise actually, I thought the outline of the bear would go a darker pink as it did on the white paper but quite the opposite happened. The pink went on my black card and the outline resisted it.

I actually sat with my two sets of chalks and the 4047KG Edward Sitting Bear stamp and covered an A5 black card in different colours just to see what they looked like. My pink bear here is from the 42004 Shimmers Chalk Set in the darkest pink. You cannot see it in the picture but these chalks Shimmer like make up does, like they have the finest amount of glitter through them. Once again I have used the Bella range of papers to complement my card. The green ric rac is from the #6069 Mayhem mixed ribbon pack.

Off to finish my third.....Back soon !

Square Chalked Butterfly Card { POW Project 1 }

Hi ,

I again managed to squeeze in some creating time. For my first chalking project I have made a simple yet effective square mat card. I have used Perfect Medium to stamp the # 4018KC Butterfly and then colour with # 42001 Basic Brights Chalks. My square mats are from the Bella Paper Range, the bottom layer I edged with black vivid and the top layer has been edged with coordinating fluid chalk colours. I have raised the second layer with Magic Mount.

I best be off if I am to get more chalk projects on here for the week.

Take Care

Keta
